Energy Consulting Network wins Phare RES project in Romania 

ECNet with the Danish Technological Institute as sub partner has won the EU Phare project: "Technical and Economic Potential of RES in Romania ". In addition to assessing the potential for renewable energy sources (RES), the project will study and develop a set of measures that would enable Romania to meet its RES development. The Project started on 30th November 2007 and will run until December 2008.

Launching of the SERVE Project

The SERVE Project (Sustainable Energy in the Rural Village Environment) has officially begun. On November 5-6th, 2007, the SERVE kick-off meeting gathered the SERVE partners in Thurles (Ireland) to launch this 5-years project supported by the EU Concerto Programme (funded under the EU 6th Framework Programme). The project is led by Tipperary Energy Institute. ECNet is responsible for control and monitoring which following installation will provide data to allow for energy performance assessment, economic analysis and system improvement. www.servecommunity.ie

District cooling - a hot issue in Europe

In cooperation with Copenhagen Energy, Energy Consulting Network constitutes the Danish part of the Intelligent Energy Europe Project: "Summerheat" (www.eu-summerheat.eu). In this context ECNet on 13th September 2007 assisted Copenhagen Energy in helding a seminar aiming at promoting district cooling towards its customer base. The seminar presented national as well as European perspectives in relation to a.o. the  Summerheat Project. In light of very positive response from the more than 70 participants Copenhagen Energy will use the seminar as a kick-off for a new campaign towards potential customers.

News from the carbon markets

Newsletter no. 4 launched within the project: "Technology at Work" (www.setatwork.eu/newsletter.htm) . The project, which is headed by Energy Consulting Network A/S and financed under the EU FP6 Programme, aims at positioning sustainable energy technologies at emerging climate markets and facilitates sound development at the EU Emission Trading Markets www.setatwork.eu
